What is Hot Yoga?
Hot Yoga is our Basic level class, a traditional Bikram style series.This challenging 26 posture series, is practiced in a hot room (approx. 95-105 (degrees & approx. 30% humidity). Our 75 minute Hot Yoga class is perfect for beginners, and will continue to challenge even the most advanced students. This traditional series was developed to increase your body's flexibility, strength and balance, bringing an overall sense of health and well-being. Your body is systematically rejuvenated, working every muscle, joint, tendon, ligament, nerve, organ and cell. You will become stronger and leaner and your energy will increase, as you continue to practice regularly. Your life will begin to change more than you ever imagined possible!
t is important to us each student understands that this is a disciplined practice. Modifications may be made for individuals as necessary, with guidance from your instructor. Please discuss any injuries or issues privately with your instructor before class to ensure you are assisted in understanding your proper modifications.
What is the reason for the heat?
The heat combined with the sequence of the postures is what makes
Hot Yoga so special. The room is heated to warm muscles, which allows you to work deeper in a shorter amount of time, seeing results faster. Heat takes the trauma out of stretching, heals and helps prevent injuries. Yoga is not just about working muscles: you are massaging deep tissues, glands and organs as well. As you work deep within your body, you may start to release "poisons" or "toxins" that have been stored there a long time. Your skin is the largest elimination organ in your body. Sweating helps flush toxins from your body, giving you a wonderful glow from head to toe.

Each class is different depending on the instructor, but you can expect to enjoy at least one set of your favorite Hot poses with an opportunity to experience a similar pose during the second set.
